After some fretful planning, we are delighted to say that we are consolidating our two brewery operations into one new site. Severn Vale Brewing and Cotswold Spring Brewing Co are moving to a new location in Tortworth Business Park in South Gloucestershire.
As a result of this, from Wednesday 1st July, our old shop will be closed; however, on Sat 4th July we will have a temporary shop open at the new site - The Brewery, Tortworth Business Park, Tortworth, GL12 8HQ (near J14, M5)
As part of the move, we are investing in a new 30BBL brewing plant that will more than double our production capacity. The investment is supported by the West of England Growth Fund which is drawn from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
Our beer is of course the most important thing and we will continue use spring water - we've already dropped a borehole at Tortworth and tested the water. We'll keep our existing brand portfolios, and continue to brew from two sets of brewing-plant in the one brewhouse.
Managing Director Mark Frankcom says “We are delighted to be moving to our new site. Cotswold Spring Brewing Co's OSM is the reigning SIBA Supreme Champion beer, and sales are such that we have needed to invest in new production capacity. Our new operations at Tortworth will put us in a great position to make more of the brands and products that our customers are asking for.”
Stay in touch with our website, facebook and twitter accounts, and we'll update you with pictures of the new site and equipment as we go along - we're hoping to be moved in as early as May this year!
We are very pleased to report the success of our friends at the Salutation at Ham, near Berkeley, for being named Camra Pub of the Year. Pete, Claire and the team have done a great job and almost always have some of our beer available. They love Steve's beers from Severn Vale Brewing Co too, so do pop in (Steve does most evenings!). Here's what the Guardian have to say about it (Click here)
We are proud to announce that Severn Vale’s Nibley Ale has won its way through to the Cask Bitter category, alongside our Aviator lager, which has reached the finals for Premium Lager Keg category
What sets us apart from the rest is the way we make our beers and real ales – with love, passion and 100% natural ingredients; pure Cotswold spring water, the finest locally produced malted barley and a subtle blend of hops
On our side we also have an extra special ingredient — the colourful characters that make our beer, lead by master brewer Nik (the hat) Milo
We are so proud of our characters that all of our beers are now named after them in celebration...
NB Currently England & Wales only - £5 postage & packaging (unless local... then please just ask)
